Update & many thanks.

Thank you to all have stopped by to wish our puppies well and to our bloggy friends at Life With Dogs for honoring us with the GOLDEN HYDRANT AWARD. We do not feel worthy as there are so many doing so much for homeless animals in need.
The puppies are doing well and growing stronger everyday. They are now acting crazy like normal healthy puppies should. They are eating prescription diet i/d food and that is suppose to be helping keep their intestinal tracts healthy. I never imagined there would be a day when something as simple as "firm stool" would make me so happy. For 4 days there has been no diarrhea!! Whoopee for healthy pups!

Congratulations on a well deserved award! You are an angel for so many dogs such as these four adorable puppies you've brought back to health, for all the dogs you foster and of course your own dogs (and cats)! You are an inspiration to us all to help where we can one animal (or four puppies!) at at time!

Hi, popped in to inform you about the blue legs, then saw these adorable little pups, scrolled down to read their history, cried a litte tear with you for the poor boy that didn't make it, feel as angry as you do about the shelter that shouldn't be called shelter, am happy that these cuties are doing well now. Gosh, quite an emotional rollercoster this early in the morning. You have some lovely animals. Really like Parker. And all the others too ;-)
Nice to meet you. Will join your followers. And congrats on the wonderful Life With Dogs award. Honoured to be in the same bunch of awardees as you are.

Now about the legs. The post telling how it happened was just below the one with the picture. It's called Pastures New. In short: we moved our horses to a lushious green field so they needed to go in a horse trailer and we had a two-horse trailer for my mare with foal. We removed the body divider so the foal could stand right next to mom, but this meant we couldn't put the bar behind them to stop them from walking backwards. And the person in the trailer hadn't secured my mare yet as I was closing the ramp. Just when I had lifted the ramp about hip high, she decided to walk out again, 600 kilogrammes of horse I couldn't lift so I had to let go of the ramp which went down on my upper legs and big toe. I always forget to mention my poor blue big toe ;-) Anyway, glad nothing is broken (perhaps the toe, not sure, can't bend it) and I can walk.

Hope everything goes well with the pups. Must be exhausting for you to take care of them, but very rewarding to see them grow. Well done.

Big hug!
Carolina

We are so happy to hear that these gorgeous pups are in a safe loving place. We are sure they will thrive under your care. It was very brave, selfless and kind of you to make sure Socks knew love, care and kindness before he crossed to the Bridge. You gave him a truly wonderful gift.

Purrs! :)

Woo! We stopped over from Beaded Tail to say hello! We are four rescued pups and love to hear about our fellow furry friends finding loving homes. Thank you for all that you do!
Luv,
Dave
PS: Do Bonnie and Parker take up much room in the bed? Just curious.
